Hello. My name is Dr. John Carosso and I want to thank you for visiting our website at Community Psychiatric Centers. Consistent with our ongoing effort at CPC, we have made the site as "user friendly" as possible and will continue in that vein.

Please allow me to introduce myself and this mental health organization. My experience in the mental health field dates back to over fifteen years in a number of capacities including as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and School Psychologist. I have worked in private, school-based, inpatient, residential, and in-home settings. My specialization is in the evaluation, assessment, and treatment of children and teenagers and, in that regard, I have conducted literally thousands of evaluations with children, and families, of all walks of life. I have also encountered virtually all mental health complexities including within the autistic spectrum, attention deficit, defiance and oppositionality, depression, anxiety and panic, academic problems, psychosis, and delinquency. As part of the evaluation and treatment process, I have made it a priority to help parents obtain a thorough understanding of their child's diagnosis and suggest ways to manage their child's developmental needs. Community Psychiatric Centers also offers services to families and adults with an array of interventions including in-home and/or in-school Behavioral Health Rehabilitative ("wraparound") Services, and outpatient individual, family, and marital counseling. Evaluations are also conducted upon referral from the Disability Bureau, Family Court (including custody issues), Occupational/Vocational Rehabilitation, and we also receive referrals from local school districts and police departments.

I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to assemble, and work with, an extraordinarily talented and dedicated team of professionals at Community Psychiatric Centers. We now offer various levels of service, including the aforementioned Behavioral Health Rehabilitative ("Wraparound") services, to over 100 children and families in Allegheny, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette, and Washington Counties. Clearly, the founding and ongoing success of this organization is based in the grace of God who has guided and blessed our efforts.
