We are looking to fill BSC, MT, and TSS positions in all of our offices. Hours vary depending on clients' needs. School cases, daylight cases, as well as evening and weekend cases are available, but are subject to change at any time. Positions are part-time, with the potential to acquire full-time hours at a later date. Please note that an interview with CPC does not guarantee employment.

Position Title Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC)
Department Wrap Around
Reports To Respective Clinical Supervisor; Dr. Robert A. Lowenstein, M.D. and Dr. John Carosso, Psy.D.
Overall Responsibility To be the lead clinician on a team of therapists that provides therapy to children and adolescents
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide face to face consultations to the parents, school districts, daycare centers, preschools, after-school programs, camps, recreational activities, team members, psychologists and psychiatrists.
  • Write Behavior Plans and Treatment plans at least once every four months for each case
  • Run interagency meetings
  • Develop interventions for the therapists to work on in the home
  • Prepare materials needed for therapists to carry out treatment plans
  • Analyze and graph data as well as develop data collection sheets for parents and therapists
  • Provide supervision of therapists in the home
  • Help the family find resources to better aid the child
  • Develop crisis plans
  • Write discharge goals and discharge paperwork
  • Observe the client and record data, complete functional analysis and ABC analysis of behaviors, and conduct assessments of child and family
Skills and Attributes
  • The BSC must have good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, empathy for others, present in a professional manner, clear and concise handwriting, the ability to write a clinical note, work independently, and the ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • The BSC must also be respectful of cultural and ethnic differences and customs
  • The BSC must be comfortable working in people's homes, community, and schools
  • The BSC must be able to work in a team approach
  • The BSC must be able to travel to worksites
  • The BSC must be able to come to the office for staff meetings, supervisions, and trainings as indicated
  • The BSC must have an understanding of behavior modification techniques and be able to develop measurable objectives in meeting long term goals
  • The BSC must have knowledge of the other team members' positions and be able to write treatment plans accordingly
  • The BSC must have an understanding of diagnoses in the DSM-IV
  • The BSC must work well with little supervision, be responsible with scheduling clients and showing up for sessions, and be a good problem solver
  • The BSC must have an understanding of IEP's and 504 agreements
Education and Experience Required
  • The BSC must have a Masters Degree in a Human Services Field

 


 

Position Title Mobile Therapist (MT)
Department Wrap Around
Reports To Respective Clinical Supervisor; Dr. Robert A. Lowenstein, M.D. and Dr. John Carosso, Psy.D.
Overall Responsibility To provide face to face therapy to children with mental health disorders
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide face to face therapy at the rate agreed upon every week
  • Record data during every session as indicated by the BSC
  • Provide family therapy
  • A current drivers license and the ability to work flexible hours and travel
  • Written paperwork for each session and turned in weekly
  • Write treatment plans if indicated at least every four months
Skills and Attributes
  • The MT must have good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, empathy for others, present in a professional manner, clear and concise handwriting, the ability to write a clinical note, and the ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • The MT must also be respectful of cultural and ethnic differences and customs
  • The MT must have clinical experience and knowledge in order to provide family and individual therapy
  • The MT must work well with little supervision, be responsible with scheduling clients and showing up for sessions, and be a good problem solver
  • The MT must be able to work in a team approach
  • The MT must be able to travel to worksites
  • The MT must be able to come to the office for staff meeting, Supervisions, and Trainings and indicated
  • The MT must have knowledge of the other team members' positions and be able to write treatment plans accordingly
  • The MT must have an understanding of diagnoses in the DSM-IV
Education and Experience Required
  • A Mobile Therapist must possess a Masters degree in a clinical discipline such as Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, etc.

 


 

Position Title Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS)

Reports To Respective Clinical Supervisor; Dr. Robert A. Lowenstein, M.D. and Dr. John Carosso, Psy.D.
Overall Responsibility To provide face to face therapy to children with mental health disorders
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide face to face therapy at the rate agreed upon every week
  • Record data during every session as indicated by the BSC
  • Follow a treatment plan during each session
  • Document progress notes for each session and obtain signatures on encounter forms by parent or client if over 14 years of age for each session
  • Document supervisions and trainings as well as attend these as indicated by the amount of hours and experience the TSS has
  • Understand and implement behavior modification techniques with children
Skills and Attributes
  • The TSS must have good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, empathy for others, present in a professional manner, clear and concise handwriting, the ability to write a clinical note, work independently, and the ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • The TSS must also be respectful of cultural and ethnic differences and customs
  • The TSS must be comfortable working in people's homes, community, and schools
  • The TSS must be able to work in a team approach
  • The TSS must be able to travel to worksites
  • The TSS must be able to come to the office for staff meetings, supervisions, and trainings as indicated
Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice (Human Service field) with no previous work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in other field with the equivalent of one year full time paid work in a job that involved direct contact with children
  • Licensed registered nurse with the equivalent of one year full time paid work in a job that involved direct contact with children
  • Associates Degree or sixty credits towards a bachelor's degree with the equivalent of at least three years paid experience that involved direct contact with children
  • LPN with the equivalent of at least three years paid experience that involved direct contact with children
